ADC Flexible Duct Test Code – FD 72-R1
sets forth the specific methods of testing flexible air ducts used for indoor comfort heating, ventilating and air conditioning applications.
The scope of the code establishes the requirements for the determination and presentation of data on air friction loss, sound, leakage, heat transfer properties and static pressure-temperature behavior for flexible air ducting used as a means of conveying conditioned air in HVAC systems.
Requirements are established for the selection and preparation of test equipment and procedures to be used, the installation of test specimens and accumulation of test data and the format of presentation of the results.
